March 2009 Youth of the Month

 

March Youth of the Month: Jay Brown

Jay Brown, 13 year old seventh grade honor roll student and a member of the Men of Distinction at Selma Middle School. This is his second time being nominated and chosen as youth of the month at the Club. Jay is always willing to help others and participate in programs at the Club. He volunteers to keep the Club clean, help younger members with homework and monitor youth with adult supervision. Jay puts others first, that’s one of his finest qualities. His parents are Shirley and Chris Brown.

March Youth of the Month: Sophie Taylor

Sophie Taylor, 8 year old third grade honor student and sings in the Chorus at Selma Elementary. She has participated in many of the special functions held by the Club. Sophie sung at the Medical Mall, Festival of Trees celebration, a board meeting and during our Boys & Girls Club Week celebration. Her mother, Clevie Evans teaches piano lessons at the Club.
