September Youth of the Month: Dustin Crockett

Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnston County Youth of the Month September 2008 – Dustin Crockett is an A/B honor roll student
in the seventh grade at Selma Middle School. He is a member of band, playing first chair in the brass session.
At the club Dustin participates in power hour, triple play, project learn, and passport to manhood. During the summer he attended
Camp Challenge, a week long residential leadership camp in Westfield, NC, sponsored by the NC Bankers Association.
(Camp Challenge is geared toward middle-school aged youth, offering an once-in-a-lifetime experience. Campers activities
included horse back riding, swimming, hiking, creek stomping, attended leadership programs, arts and crafts, nature studies,
night hikes and a dance.) At the Club he is a Junior Staff program member, where his duties include assisting younger members
with their homework and escorting guests and new members on tours of the Club. His hobbies include reading, riding bikes, and
playing video games. Dustin resides with his grandfather, David Crockett.
